If you’re looking for a spoke disk brake hub a Kawasaki 78/79KZ750 had one. That what I use. Laced it up to a 18” Excel rim with SS spokes I got from Buchanan’s

Nice kit but I did a lot less the $620 cost. For both the front and rear wheel I had less then $1000.

It looks like the Kawasaki KZ750 twins also came with mag wheels. If the OP is so inclined, he should be able to do the same as Gary did with the spoked wheel. Or, he can go with the 19" rear wheel conversion.

En bon Quebecois, "une roue a baton" n'est pas un terme connu. Une "roue de broche" veux dire "spoked wheel" tandis qu'une "roue a baton" voudrais plutot dire une roue "mag". Vous chercher laquelle?

I did the 19” conversion when I first built the Storm, upgraded to the AL Excel rims.

That's interesting, I'm working on getting a 16 inch aluminum or chrome spoked rear wheel together but I have considered going with the 18"just because it seems easier to source. I happen to have a 78 gs1000 set that I was wondering how well it would work. Being that I have a hardtail I'm already custom and unless I'm mistaken it has the same diameter axel bolt.

Yes but I had to get a custom sprocket from rebel gears to get 530 32 tooth sprocket on the GS bolt circle and center flange.
