lost ignition, turn signal and neutral safety light

I was warming up my 81 XS650H this morning when suddenly it just shut off.
The starter still cranks the motor, but it's not firing.
The neutral safety light, horn, and turn signals all stopped working too.
Fuses are all good in the fuse box.
I did have a battery charger on it when it happened.

Any ideas?

Nevermind.
I had the tank off last night and routed the main harness incorrectly,
the front end turned hard to port, and it pulled on the harness.

I need to disconnect the battery, remove the tank, route the harness correctly, open the headlight and fix the loose connection.
...the problem was a loose nut behind the operating lever.
