I've got my drz listed right now, and clearly state in the ad no trades. 3/4 of the responses are "would you trade for 4wheeler/different bike/broken car?" I just answer with a simple no.

But messing with marketplace has me looking to see what is on there. And I have to say some of these people are nuts. Buell xb12, no title "runs and rides great!" leaned on a building with vicegrip shifter and clearly bad front wheel, $2500. Sorry buddy, that's a $1000 bike tops. It clearly had a hard life and has no title because it was totalled. Oh and don't forget the oil under it.

Don't worry about that big patch of sealer on the caved in frame/gas tank!
;)
I think thats the remainder of stomp grip or similar. It was probably a nice bike 2-3 owners ago.

Sometimes you can find something worthwhile on marketplace. Bought this wood chipper for $100, it even came with a new carb to fix it. Doesn't seem to burn oil and works great.

Frame usually gets it when they're dropped.
The one I'm working on now.

I've seen a bunch with a dent right where the slider is on that one. And honestly the one I posted I'm pretty sure they are showing the "good" side. With the bend in the front wheel I'd assume it's been down fairly hard. IMO its a parts bike that might be able to go back on the road if the frame checked out as straight.

When running well they can sure be fun ride. I had an 02 Cyclone. Last year of the tube frames. Which were made by Verlicchi , The same co. that made Duc frames. Installed a V& H SSR exhaust, a factory race ECU,42mm Mikuni HSR carb Andrews N4 cams Energy One clutch, Banke rear sets and every c.f. part I could get from the now defunct American Sportbike. That bike was a ton of hooligan fun. Tubers were more crude than the build you have coming along Gary. Keep an eye on those disc rotor mounting bolts torque wise. They are under some seriously loads when hard on the binders. A buddy still has his 99 Cyclone ( waiting for a stator) and an 09 Uly. both with high miles and he won't let them go. I attached a not so well taken pic of the old beast.
