Any one ever use a Mikes Wire Harness for a XS2? Can you tell me what the color code is at the tail light and rear blinkers?
There is no yellow for the tail light or brown for the blinker. Thanks.
Bill
yep yellow/grn to yellow, blue to blue for the tail light, the chocolate goes to the left turn and the dark green goes to the right. you should have these four wires plus the ground for a total of 5

This one does not have a chocolate. There was only one wire left from the harness and the brown blinker left. I guess the blue and red goes to the brown? I will find out later in the restore. Thanks.
That red /blue is interesting I looked at all of the wire diagrams for all years and I don't see any with red/blue. What do you have in the headlight shell. I would advise getting the multimeter out and double checking those wires. May be a fluke from the people who produced it and used the wrong color.
Thinking a s a winter project I’d untangle some of the mess of wires in my headlight bucket. Was considering replacing the existing harness with one from Mike’s. Good idea or bad for my ‘76? At least cost was reasonable.
I have used them. Tail light colors are way off but everything worked on the ones I bought. I have a couple that the main connector that went to the main switch were wrong. I had to move the connections. I always change the wire harness on all my re-builds.
