Is it Burns ? and if so what is your thoughts about it.
It's a Vox SSC 55, it caught my attention because it has strange looking soapbar pickups that are supposed to produce single coil, P90 and Humbucker tones all from one pickup. It also has a 25 1/8th inch neck scale length. I just thought it looked cool and I got it cheap because it was damaged. I don't know how good it is but the internets had mixed reviews. I have lost the little skill that I was developing when I bought it and am just now trying to get back into playing.
The electrical
After a lot of work putting in a set of pickups unknown origin
soldering .. cutting the pick guard so I could preliminary string it with the same old strings and connect to a amplifier
Neck appears straight and the frets even .. no ..Rattling ..Sustain good but the sound quality so far a weak 4 on a scale ten
But I have not adjusted anything yet .Neither pickup height nor amplifier settings.
A set of strings can make some difference those are old.
The neck at the backside is more rounded than other guitars I have . If I recall correct it used to be so . Will try it how it works
But most likely wont ( Try ) play it much -- Is still work in progress

The Takamine is my everyday usable bash on out guitar.
The Taylor 910 is something special with wonderful tone and beautiful construction and looks.
It is a 'non-electric' version which is quite rare.
Yes it's a dream to play.
Im an ex drummer turned shite guitarist, so its just for my pleasure!

Got a story for yas! I'm a substitute teacher at Gainesville, High School, Georgia. I met a teacher named Bob Horne, the head of the SPED department. I subbed for him for the 1st 2 weeks of school back in 2016 because he was undergoing chemo. Anyway, we became friends, then I found out that he was the bass player for Joe Cocker in the 70's. Who would have thunk it? He's a very quiet and unassuming guy.
Well, long story short, he let me use this georgious Hofner bass, 64ish, for a Beatles gig I was doing. That was my daughter's wedding 3 years ago!
Then, he surprised me while at his house and gave me this Sound Gear bass by Ibanez! I love it!

Here ya go, Adam.
This is my setup in the basement workshop. First one is a Hofner 12 string. Has new strings and sounds loverly.
The other acoustic is an Epiphone 6 string. When I first got it a gazillion yrs ago, it was a mess. Had to completely disassemble it to straighten the body, it was warped big time). While it was apart I went ahead and added a pickup that sits in the bridge, just under the saddle (did the same electric convo on the 12 string). New saddle and pins, nut, tuners and pick guard.
The electric is a cheap piece of junk that was given to me. I've no Idea why I never chucked it. Doesn't play worth a crap. In the back of my mind I always thought I'd try and make something of it. You never know.
Pardon the Sidewinder hanging off it.
And an old Fender amp.

I'm guessing that Hofner 12 is pretty rare, eh?
That’s a great story, and nice to be gifted a lovely instrument.
Ashamed to say I know very little about it. It was made in Germany, that's about all I know.

Do a search on Hofner 12-stirng acoustic guitars. I searched for one with your unusual pick guard, but nada!
Memories kinda fuzzy, but I think it came to me with the pick guard missing.
Most likely that's an aftermarket guard.
Now that I think about it, I think it was pretty much stripped when I got it. Were talking prolly back in my Air Force days. So that makes it at least 30 yrs ago.
Missing the guard, nut, tuners, saddle, bridge pins and the strings... obviously.
Makes it a rescue?

I buy specialist wedges of maple or sycamore, sometimes cherry or walnut. Spruce or cedar for the top https://juratonewood.com/en/29-archtop-back-sides
Then join them to form the back, or top. This usually tapers from around 50mm in the centre to 20mm at the edge. Cut out the guitar shape. Then draw contour lines on the wood. I Then drill to a fixed depth on each contour line, getting deeper towards te outside. Then I carve down to bottom of the drill holes with specialist planes. Sand it all smooth.
Carving the inside is a bit similar.
