My next project not a XS

I bit on the Brit bike thing also.(2x) Bought one to make into Isle of Mann TT Racer looking bike. I then was offered another one that was in a fire for $250. Foolish as it is I decided to put both back on the road.

This one getting closer to the bar hopper stage !

Why the F--- would anyone think this is a good idea ?

Obsession, yes, with a bit of masochistic kink. There was a feeling of accomplishment to giving that 1968 Bonnie a tuneup and feeling the motor get fierce again; the downside was having to do it every week or so. It was a joyful day in 1969 when a thief relieved me of the nasty b---h. Took the insurance money, bought a used BMW R69s from a boondocks Honda shop where they couldn't move it, rode the Beemer home with change in my pocket, and never looked back. Whoever you are that ripped off that damn Turnip, God bless ya!

Hi 'ranger,
quit knocking Lucas, eh?
We used Lucas electrics on our aircraft engines and it worked just great because we paid top whack for the good stuff.
OTOH when Lucas' fair price for automotive electrics was $40 and the automotive customer offers $9:75 Lucas should
be commended that their automotive stuff worked at all.
