Hey guys, I’m sure by now you’re seeing that I’ve been getting ready to build this 447 engine of mine. I had the cases vapor honed and before I sent them to be done, I pressed out the small needle bearing that holds the end of the selector shaft. Now of course the very first step in getting his back together is that I need to press a new one in - but want to know if anyone has a service manual that describes this procedure? I found a short video from a post here some time ago, where the fella uses the selector shaft itself to press the bearing back in, but he doesn’t say how far it should go, just says “don’t go too far deep” - I guess I could press it in as far as the selector shaft will allow me, but I’d feel better knowing it’s not going to bind etc once I have everything together. Has anyone out there done this bearing install themselves that can lend some advice? Thanks for reading!

After some more searching on he forum I think I found what I’m looking for. Sorry for the initial post, I should have searched a bit more before posting…thanks!
