Hi there, I'm trying to remove my starter gear cover to replace a gasket and I cant quite get it off because of the chain guide. Can anyone help me figure out how to remove it? See attached picture of what I'm talking about.

Thanks!

Behind the chain, the guard is slotted into a stud and nut that holds the case halves together. You need to loosen that so you can slide chain guide (which is actually a guard for the shifter) out of the way.

Thanks! Is the bolt facing out or is it facing the ground?
