New project started

First job on the new project. Lengthen steering stem 15mm & check fitment of 43mm CBR 600F4i front end. 760mm axle to top compares to 770mm on the 81 Special. New fork tubes & clip-ons are ordered.

Replaced the rusted fork tubes & put a few bits on to have a look.

Got a set of VM34 Mikunis yesterday & ordered a Vape 277 PMA/Ignition today.

I've pressed the crank apart to replace the conrods & turned he crank halves during re-assembly.
Not sure about the cam yet as my mate is going to have a look at the head on the flow bench. I'll probably end up with a 277 Shell #1 grind from a guy who does them here.

A bit more progress today, assembled & trued the crank at a mate's workshop, got home this afternoon & had to get it in the cases, got the cases together & test fit the Vape unit to have a look.

The instructions with the VAPE are a bit strange - been there - holler if questions arise.
