Hey new member here, here's my '81 XS650 with 4300 original miles. Been looking for a late model XS for awhile now and finally found the one. Bought it for $2350 and I am now the second owner. It's been sitting for awhile stored in a barn/garage not quite sure how long (last inspected in 08'). Carbs were rebuilt along with a new battery so I was able to ride it an hour home :) Thanks for lookin' any advice with maintenance is welcome. Currently in the market for new tires so send me some suggestions. Thanks!

Real nice 81SII. Been stored real well going by the gauge fade, (none). If your going to keep the handle bars tilt them back a bit........... when looking from the side they should line up with the angle of the forks, at the moment they are tilted forward a bit

Thanks appreciate it! I will look into that, thanks for the pointer

Need to fix the Gauge dampers. If they are left loose for to long it can brake the needles and the face plate screws may come loose.

Should look a bit like this when replaced. Could be a bit tighter so the damper is squished a bit and slightly bulges
