Hey guys! Just picked up my first xs650 yesterday, she’s in good shape and doesn't need too much. I was able to ride it the 50 miles back home. Has a slight leak from the cylinder head gasket and the base gasket but I was reading that a head re torque may help.
The front caliper also seems to be sticking so im going to renew the front brake system. Other than that im just gonna do regular maintenance and ride for a while! If anyone has some general knowledge or tips they’d like to share about these bikes I’d appreciate it. Been reading up a bit to get familiar.

These are good solid machines.... keep basic maintenance... and they'll get you anywhere.... that doesn't require the interstates... they can be set up for the super slab but there's a price to pay..... possible retina detachments.... dental lost... Your brake could be the caliper mounting sleeve... the rubber sometimes deforms... results in a dragging caliper... The photo is the before and after... 😎

Make sure to check out the tech section, there is a link at the top of the page. TONS of very pertinent information located there. And good luck with your new bike! 😉
