I am building a 75 xs650 bobber. I have installed an xs charge generator III ignition, an xs charge pma with a capacitor. I could not get the bike to start because it had no spark. After checking everything I replaced the capacitor with a battery and it started right up. I checked to see if it was charging and it wasn't. I checked the stator while it was running and I get 17 ac volts so that was good and had a friend put my capacitor on his bike bike and it worked fine also. So I broke down and bought a new reg/rec from TC bros which i installed and everything worked as it should for a few test starts then it quit working also. Looking for advice as what to do next. Thank you

I’m having almost the same problem so a few things I realized is running a capacitor you most have a separate switch for lights or when you turn on switch and lights come on you will discharge your capacitor. Also found that charging the capacitor with just a battery for like ten minutes works better then trickle charging it and yes you must charge a capacitor they do not come charged now with that being said I can run mine with a battery fine but when I try the capacitor it fires and only on one side
