Here's a pic of the engine I put together for my bike. You can't see the case stampings, but you can clearly see the painted color on the top half vs the unpainted lower.... jus' like yours.

Book sez to install a good (new) wrist pin and wobble it. If you feel any play at all, the rod is bad. Jus lookin' at yours you can see the copper plating is worn away... you'll have play.

So sent in barrels for honing
Still waiting a month now for barrels to come back engineer had an accident outside work so got to wait longer
Crank I was trying to find a good used but to no avail found some one to recon a crank In Birmingham England for £200 plus parts so I bought another engine which is in great condition just built up the top end so Iam three engines in now one in engineer shop one nearly done and one in a million bits
