Ive got leaks all over. I think I have all the left side seals figured out. Thanks to everyone on this site and all the amazing threads I’ve read. It’s helped me a lot. Since it’s been sitting for about a month without running I noticed another oil leak that is higher. Im adding a picture to see if someone has any suggestions for what Im in for. I put 2 arrows showing where the oil is gathering along the edge. The top arrow is a guess. Thanks

Head gasket and base gasket, or oil is running down from the head gasket making it look like a base gasket leak. But you can't do the head gasket repair anyway without replacing the base gasket. (Well, you can but I wouldn't. Because if it isn't leaking now, the base gasket will leak after replacing the head gasket).

Also looks like the valve cover is leaking too.

I ordered a big bore kit. Will that take care of most of the gasket repairs? Thats way more than I expected too. Bummer, stuff just keeps adding up.

I'd plan on replacing the camshaft oil seals, O rings and gaskets as well. Each side of the cylinder head.

In the end, I've replaced every gasket and seal just about. I even had to replace the copper washers under the dome nuts beneath the crankcase. Just chasing oil leaks until they're done.

Here's a sequence and torque value drawing. You needn't be concerned with bolts 12 - 15, they only hold the top cover on. Bolts 1 - 11 are the ones that torque the head down .....

The green gaskets are the Athena brand and have gotten quite expensive. But some of them don't work very well so it's best to avoid them. This is a better choice .....

I will be trying this torque sequence soon.

I ordered the service manuals recommended.
I will order a gasket set for winter projects too. Thanks.
