Painting Tins. No really...

I'm still many months away from putting gas in this tank, but I went ahead and dressed it out with cap and badges.

I regard dual petcocks on any XS650 as a totally unnecessary complication. I always blank off one. It didn't occur to me that I should blank off first, and then have Jim paint over it until I had already shipped the tank to Jim. So, this is all Jim's work. He made the blank, bolted it on using JB-Weld as the sealant, and filleted around it with more JB-Weld to make a smooth transition. Then all of the various paint layers. Looks great. Thanks Jim!

And, of course, here's the cool custom-painted gas cap cover. More extra work graciously done by Jim.
