we don't do forks and bearings, swingarms and shocks,( and all the little details) and then NOT ride a bike.

Of course, just kidding. 😉 scrapes and scratches are inevitable if you actually use it as intended. Hell I even tipped over two of my bikes while working on them in the garage and dented the tanks!

The tank on my SG got nicked 'bout the second or third time I had it off. I was beside myself... for about 10 seconds. Then I was over it. Yeah, it sucked the bike only had about 100 miles on it at the time.... but we don't keep museum pieces. I don't anyway.

Hakuna matata... :laugh2:

Kevin's paintwork is climbing on a UPS truck as we speak. So... the paint room is open. :geek:
If you want some paintwork done, send me a PM. Or put it here... I ain't bashful. :wink2:
Here's the deal though, this will be a slow roll... like they ain't already...
The 7th of next month... June, I go in for surgery on my left foot. In spite of this being the third surgery on that foot, I'm hopeful and looking forward to it. Dr's orders are off that foot for 30 days, then light duty after that.
Then... in early Aug, I go back for surgery on the right foot. That will be much better though, 'cause it's never been operated on before... recovery should be much quicker.
The long and short of all this is ain't no painting gettin' done in a hurry. Figure Sept before anything gets kicked out the door. Unless you have something that can be done 'tween now and the 7th?

Anyway, food for thought. Who's next?

Oh... and this showed up today. Want to keep me off my feet? Better try harder'n just surgery...

Had a gallon of this stuff forever. Some of you guys swear by it. I'll give it overnight and see where we're at.

A friend of mine swears by EVAPO-RUST for a variety of projects. But, uh, it might take a little longer than overnight. He's had projects "marinating" in the stuff for weeks at a time...
Temperature is a big factor, takes forever at 60 really works fast at 80F, black tank in the sun..............
I went all Bill Bowling and bought a 3.5 gallon bucket of EVR.
Dip out a peanut butter jar of it for small items.

Up to now I been using muriatic acid followed by Ospho.
Start to finish in under an hour.... don't care how bad the rust is. But that's a last resort on a badly rusted part..... or when you're in a hurry.

Any issues with Ospho on the inside of the tank, i.e. flaking off and getting in carbs?
