There... we may not be 100% rust free.... but it's pretty damn close. Close enough... :cautious:

3 coats of "Star Wars" Silver. Actually it's called Galaxy silver... I just think Star Wars sounds way cooler. :wink2:

There'll be some color flying shortly.

Honda Civic had a color called Galaxy Grey Metallic several years ago. Dupli-color made touch up rattle cans of it. I sprayed a '79 650 with it. Of course nothing competes with your professional paint jobs Jim. It was/is a beautiful color.

You sling a mean rattle can there Tom. :smoke:

... and here we are.
Candy Cobalt Blue. Doesn't really "pop" right now 'cause storm clouds made it kinda dark. Jus' wait for the sunlight test.
3 coats silver, 4 coats candy and 4 coats clear on the fender. Sidecovers only got 2 coats of clear.

Paint looks great.

Man I do not miss the thunder storms (tornados, hail )we had in the midwest.
I will take a T-storm over -20F weeks at a time...
I sat with my brothers sharing a scotch wiskey watching a T-storm come through the day we prematurely (59) buried my dad. No condolences please, it was 30+ years ago and all the memories are good to great. Weather; storms, cold, sunshine(even Ozark fog) is to be savored and cast into our memory banks with those we shared it with.

Well, the sidecovers are gonna get decals. So 2 coats to protect the candy, then 2 or 3 more after the decals go on.
Spraying all 4 or 5 coats before the decals go on would be pure "Madness." :sneaky:
