Pressure washer sandblaster works well

First used pool filter sand at 20 a bag. Then used quickret sand from Lowe's at 6 a bag but had to pick a few rocks out of it. It kinda wants to rust a little so I think I should of dryer it faster but hey I'll learn. Might need to take a little steel wool to it or sand it a little more but 2 bags of sand did well. I also got some black diamond coal to use but I bet it makes more of a mess so have not tried it yet.

Had to sand paper it and wire wheel it before primer. Next time do the washer in the middle of day sun and towel it immediately so no rust. It's wild how fast it wants to rust. I thought the washer tip worked wonders for 32 after tax on Amazon.

I used to have to sandblast steel tube fuselages. After it was blasted, we'd wash 'em down with Ospho. Any surface rust will just melt away. And it makes a good pre-treatment for primer.

Phosphoric acid works great also and is normally cheaper.
