I've been doing a fair bit of work on my bike and discovered that the nut was missing on the bottom bolt on my left rear shock. I ordered some 10mm acorn nuts, but when I went to install it there is questionable clearance between the net and the wheel sprocket (as shown in the picture). I cannot find a relevant parts diagram in my Haynes manual for this bolt - is it actually missing a nut? If so, is the acorn nut the proper nut, but if yes what about the clearance issue? Thank you all for your help.

Thanks,
Ted

Am I correct in assuming that other than being a lock washer it's not special in any way, and an off the shelf lock washer of the approrpiate size will be a suitable replacement?

Thanks,
Ted

Yes, nothing special other than I think it might be chrome, but it's just a regular split ring lock washer other than that.
