Per the title - frame is finally ready for powder coating.

Question is - do I need to remove the Bronze swingarm bushings from the swingarm for sandblasting and Powder coating!?

And if so - how the hell do I get them out?!

Thanks in advance.

No, a good powder coater will plug the holes.............That's not to say they will do it without a conversation...........

You may need to cover the outer edges as well or the thickness of powder could make the swingarm & bushing assembly longer than the inner sleeve. The swingarm is designed to get clamped into the frame against that inner sleeve. Then the slightly less wide swingarm & bushings assembly rotates on the firmly clamped (and non-moving) inner sleeve.

Your powder coater should prepare the bushings like these so that the rubber seals fit over the bushing flanges.

They will fall out from the heat. What I do is use all tread rod and cap both ends with large washers and nuts .I have done more than 10 this way and have had no problem. If you need a good powder coater I have one here in NJ and you can ship to him and he ships back.

What if you just put grease where you didn't want it to stick?
