Does anyone have any tips on how to remove the pin that holds in the helmet holder from the lock?

You can't punch it out because it only goes in one way.

Yeah I would like to save the lock assembly if possible.

Perhaps need to clarify ..
it looks as what is called a " pipe pin " not sure what the English word is
the hole is slightly smaller than the pipe pin
pressing it in it grips and sits.

But with a shop drilling machine where it can be held firmly in a fixed position and adjusted so the drill
goes in perpendicular and the right size drill it will come without hitting other things.

Perhaps a locksmith have something or a gun repair shop.

Ahh I gotcha now. Thanks for the suggestion!

I assume you want to replace it because it's all rusty? I just paint them silver with Testor's model paint, lol .....

Use drill slightly smaller than the roll pin ID drill out through the back side of the bracket, now drill out the hole on the back side slightly smaller than the roll pin OD and use a drift to drive the roll pin out.
