My XS650SK is still in a heavy service check. All I lack is finishing up. Free time is small like a lot of you.
I have in my possession, a brand-new Motion Pro clutch cable, throttle cable, and an OEM choke cable. I've had the bike since new and have no recollection of ever replacing the cables. I think they all came with the bike. Only the choke cable has sun damage, so it's getting replaced. The original choke and throttle cable look fine and seem to work fine.
So, would you replace the cables or save them for the other bike? Either way, they get lubed.

I would keep them .. After inspection so that all the small wires are intact in the bundle.
Lubricating.
And it operates reasonable well .. Not needing to much hand muscles .

They’re getting Royal Purple 75W140. This will take time. The bag method works fast, but the bag leaks.
