I'm in the process of replacing the seals at the throttle shaft on my XS2. How does the cap that covers the seal come off, on the side where the shaft is threaded. I'm assuming that this cap is a light press fit, and that it can be tapped off from the inside, using a long thin drift. But, since this my first time working on one of these carbs, I thought that I'd better ask first, rather than take a chance on breaking something.
THANKS

You take the actuation lever off the throttle shaft by removing the nut and spring. Then you remove the throttle plate. Then you slide the throttle shaft out.
