Right now I'm listening to...

Now I know you C&W / Blues types won’t even give me a like for this but;
Nick Heyward first solo album features Pino Paladino on Bass, Dave Mattaks on Drums, Steve Nieve on Keys and many other fine musicians. Produced by Geoff Emerick (Elvis Costello / Paul McCartney etc). Just remastered at half speed from the original tapes and cut on reconditioned Neumann lathes it blinking’ fabulous.

It’s just a matter of not being able to keep up with you. At this time I find myself living in Mecca as far as music is concerned and I am hyper focused on musicians I can see in an intimate setting. Even Memphis is more than I can make time for. The music scene here is overwhelming.

I’ll try to look it up tonight but the Wi-Fi at the econolodge sucks big time. I tried to upload a video of the hail we had to work in yesterday for the weather thread and it wouldn’t do it.

Hi Kevin, thanks for the response ( and Gary / John).
There is no link as it’s a remaster of a vinyl LP.
I’m a vinyl addict, so most of what I listen to is old school tech.
I will find something to post.

I was always careful with my vinyl from about 1978. My brother converted a horse stall barn to an office with pool table, old school stereo and room to sit and bullshit. All off my vinyl, all of his vinyl and all of my nephew's vinyl resides there. Maybe 1500-2000 records. Multiple copies of many. We get together for a "pool game" night 4 or 5 times a year and cycle through some old vinyl whilst surreptitiously moving a cue ball here or there. 😎

I forgot to mention Pino Palladino also played bass for The Who!
Great horn section too.

Here are two from the album:

Marty, Like you I enjoy the 'live' experience in small venues.
My twice monthly attendance at Acapela Studios (A converted Bethel Chapel) holds testimony to that:

A wonderful venue where you are part of the event; great pizza too.
