One of Charlie's very best, IMHO.Time to lighten the moment. There's a politcal line in this tune but you'de have grey or white hair to get. All in jest as you'll hear.
Enjoy fella's
Just re-watched the Phil Lynott Tribute concert, Gary, Brian Robertson etc.... all playing Thin Lizzy numbers in respect to thier lost Bassist & Vocalist..
Mine ends right about where yours starts. So having just moved after 30 years in one place, I was exposed to my long ignored vinyl collection, almost all acquired between 1980 and 1990.
Full disclosure, I also assumed custody of all my folks albums (that I wanted), so anything they bought between say 1964 and 1980 that appealed to me is in there too. And I got all the reel to reel stuff. There's some gems in there for sure!Mine ends right about where yours starts.
Agree 100%One of Charlie's very best, IMHO.
Some trivia on this great song. The rchestra backing up the band at the time was the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra here in Alberta. they were offered a one time payment of 5,000.00 or 1% of the proceeds from the songs sales. They chose the 5,000.00 .
