Web has many... hard bags... soft bags... hard mounted bags.... I still have and use my old BagMan soft with matching tank bag. Served me well over the years. I have ... " panners " Cravin's on another bike... hard mounted.... (non-removable ).... old school leathers on the 45's. So, it's just a matter of your taste and needs.

It depends if you prefer soft or hard bags.
I have had luck with the BMW Krausers. They are readily available and on eBay are somewhat modular.

@gggGary , back when you had your maroon ‘77 you used to have a set of horse saddlebags that I really liked, they were low profile , and slim looking.

lightly insulated and really cheap! have to shorten up the cross over cuz an XS is narrower than a horse's ass.

That's what I have been missing. I need to make up some support for my generic cow hide or whatevers. Due for new set. Definitely figure some support first tho. I have some ideas after seeing what you have.

Just on this planet to serve the cats, apparently.
Not so much "available" but with a few feet of 1x.125 strip steel, a cutoff wheel, a hand drill and a welder you can get some ammo cans to fit.
Cravan's out of the Uk... Dragon Fly sells them.... nice.. but are hard attached. I still have my old Bag Man soft bags and matching tank bag... they pop up at swap meets once in a while... haven't checked ebay.... they work well, have rain covers and can be carried into your motel room ...
