seat repair?

- ive done semi-temporary repairs in similar circumstances by cutting an oversize patch and inserting it under the cover through the cut-it needs to be longer and wider than the cut itself, and done gently...then ive used contact glue like pattex, as it remains flexible, coating both the underside of the cover and the topside of the patch, do the edges well...it starts getting tricky here as both surfaces need to cure or dry before contacting so they need to be separated in such a way that you can remove the separators, i used 4 small thin wedges of wood on their side...then you need weight to press the surfaces together...leave overnight...or you can take the cover off and stitch it before glueing a patch underneath
- i did one 2 years ago, and bought a new cover, its still in the box

- should also have added that you may have to carefully clean a foam layer off the inside of the seat vinyl before applying the pattex glue
