I've read some posts relating to this but want to be sure. Ignition is a PAMCO with dual output coil.

Based on reading here over time, it seems that running really any electronic ignition without secondary resistance is a no-no, as opposed to points which don't care.

But because resistor plugs e.g. BPR7ES or the EIX Iridium version are much more common, I don't feel that piling on with LB05 caps as well, makes too much sense. The po was running resistor Iridium plugs and the old caps read 6K+.

So, my plan is to run resistor plugs but with LBO1 caps, or caps with no resistance.

Do all y'all see any problems with this?

Your theory sounds correct. You need that resistance, which can be resistor plugs or resistor caps. My bike runs a Boyer Bransden ignition and in my ignorance, I swapped the plug caps not realising I had replaced 5K ohm caps for non-resistor ones. The bike made it five miles then stopped. Read all about it here - https://www.xs650.com/threads/miss-november-xs2-tribute.55057/post-702349

Hmmm.. I just ordered non resistor caps to go with my non resistor plugs thinking I'd be getting hotter spark with my points ignition loosely based on what I've been reading and some experience with what came with older bikes and cars. Add to this that in the future I want to switch over to a Boyer unit so I am looking for all the input on this subject as well.

If you buy a Boyer Bransden kit you get new coil, leads and plug caps. Nothing to worry about.

Ask yourself, what does 1K, 5K or 10K do to the coil/CDI/TCI to save it?

Plug gap is .025 inches or so with 30++M ohms before ionization.
Firing is 5K-10K ohms.
All with 2 volts source from meter.

Look up snubbers on relays.
