I’ve had the bike out twice now, and limped home both times. Lol. First time it was the vacuum port caps left the scoot somewhere out in the country. The pic shows the fix to limp. Lol. Today it started running shitty and it turned out to be a crimped fuel line. The bike is still not charging . I have changed the brushes in the stater, but didn’t fix it. Tomorrow is another day. Happy 4th

Re the vacuum ports.... I run about a 12" length of rubber fuel or vacuum line from one side to the other, clamped of course. I liken to think it equalizes the inlet pressure between the two cylinders lol.
Check your charging rotor with an ohm meter, copper slip ring to copper slip ring without brushes touching the slip rings, should measure 5 ohm +/-.

As nj says; the rotor is suspect #1 along with other possibilities on non-charging.
What was the cause of the "transmission woes" ? - curious minds want to know.
