Should we be afraid of Artificial Intelligence?

Wunder how AI banter goes.

Perhaps I could pitch the idea to a TV network.

A bunch people sitting around making up AI banter to amuse an audience of humans.
Yes, that would be a tedious little program for the vital 2 am slot, might even gather a cult following of insomniac nerdy types.

Well now….thats not too horrifying!

Here is justification because they have now understood the perils of using AI on mental health.

Now that has been said and you know we know.....we are now ignoring our own advice

Its happening, Skynet is just around the corner!

At Replacement.AI, we believe that building AI tools to fix the world's most pressing challenges is an unprofitable waste of time.
It might win you a Nobel Prize, but it's not a sustainable business model. If you cure cancer, who will buy our robo-oncologists?

The problem we actually want to fix is humans themselves. Humans cry, smell, make mistakes and demand "time off". They tell you things you don't want to hear. Worst of all, they're expensive.

Some may dismiss this as being a bit leftist.

Doesn't take away from the fact billionaires are, or have taken over the media narrative, especially internet.

When an AI dictates what is fact, how do we know it has free range to all possible sources of information. A lot of AI search results are from using Wickpedia. Removing that resource, or pitting a new information resource in direct competition with it, sets up a situation where an open source based information resource becomes irralivent. AI, (grokpedia), with set parameters on where it searches, will b reaching closed mind's or people to lazy in critical thinking who use Facebook, Twitter, (X), TicTock, (soon to be broken up and US stable sold to billionairs) with the consolidation of major news corporations, (by billionaires), and other cable outlets that pass as news.
Mass disinformation, in a generation they will control the narrative. Facts, science, won't matter. History will be altered to suit their agender.

Quote from the link above);
The goal is no longer to win the argument, but to engineer a world where opposing arguments are impossible to construct. The consequence is the end of a shared world, the atomization of society into mutually incomprehensible, AI-reinforced realities where debate is impossible because there is no common ground on which to stand.

The only antidote to this synthetic world is a fierce, renewed commitment to the human-led, collaborative, and open projects that represent the best of our digital commons. Institutions like Wikipedia are the last bastions of the dream of a free and open internet that betters humanity. Protecting the source code of reality is a matter of survival for a free and sane society, and we must act like it.

As an exercise, curiosity, I did the same AI search through DuckDuckGo, my browser.
Later more expanded information was sourced from wickpedia.

This is deeply worrying. At one level, it heralds the death of truth and creates a world in which free reporting of what's happening becomes impossible. At another level it allows the billionaire class to shape the world, the economy, opinion, the news agenda to suit their own aims.

But long term, as lack of alignment with the real world becomes more and more grotesque, it creates a system which must inevitably snap, break, collapse. Many people, including members of my family, already don't trust any news and think all politicians are the same because they all tell lies. It's very hard to argue with that view - I try to keep up with current affairs but many say the news just makes people angry or depressed and you can't do anything about it anyway.

It has been said we are entering or about to enter a new Dark Ages. [Citation needed.]

Think this stuff is easy or cheap?
Anastasi is a TSCM flak but the effort (and risk) involved in building modern chips is stupifying.
Worth the time for the primer in microchip technology and where it's headed and the scale of the investment in research and facilities . . . wow
