My fender needs a second coat, but have to get more flake.

Tank has clear and will be sanded so I can set up the panels and candy it before final clear

I think that you should have covered those holes in the fender...with a bolt probably.

Sanded the clear and did another flake for good measure then cleared again

Couple days I'll sand and lay out my panels

Rootbeer panels
Outlined by the flake
Other area filled in with the almond to accent it
Then a real 2k clear
Hopefully all goes well

Decided not to use the almond on the fender or tank.
All rattle cans. I'm happy with it.

Still without the 2k clear or sanding, but out in the sun to cure a bit.

Like I said the layout and lines aren't perfect but considering this was my first paint job and it's all rattle cans I'm happy.

For anyone that's been following
I tried to touch up the candy in a couple spots and it started to react and wrinkle.

So back to bare metal
Tank is primered and black base but the other parts are still bare.

More paint is on the way and I'll update with the redo.

Update
From the bare metal worked back up to flake and cleared it last night
Checked it this morning and night and day difference

So my error was not enough clear last time to bury the flake.

Next phase of sanding is done. I'll lay out my lines tomorrow hopefully.

Used a 320 grit sponge. Few imperfections but considering I've never done this before and it's spray cans I'm good with it.

So after letting the candy sit for about 2 weeks I wet sanded with a 2000 grit sponge yesterday then sprayed the 2k clear from spray max.

Have to cut and buff but I'm good with how it came out.

Also stripped the wheels today so I can clean them up and mount the new tires and tubes.

Moving along alot of smalls ahead.
