Don't know if I'm happy or mad I waited so long...
I got tired of coughing up $250 a month for cable and internet, SO was about ready to switch to Starlink, then thought WTH gave spectrum a "last chance, I'm switching to Starlink" call, after about a half hour of back and forth my new bill for slightly better service is $150 a month. I'll put off switching for a while now. Just a heads up; threats work.
Could have saved even more but they cannot accept our Kyocera duraphones on their network even though they are Verizon approved phones and Spectrum uses Verizon for cell???? There's also a saving by dumping the $18 a month cable modem and using internet direct to the smart TV, might do that yet, still thinking. Internet here is slightly less reliable than the cable service part.

This'll prolly hold us til elon gets direct to starlink cell service/phones bypassing cell towers completely, then I can dump Verizon AND Spectrum.

We have had Spectrum for over 20 years and about every year or year and a half I would have the conversation with the about the price being way to high
And we didn't really have anything decent ( internet ) in the area
So every time I'd threaten to quit the cable and there internet they would cave in
Last time I tried it they got a little bucky so I asked my wife if she could live with just the tv being on a cheap homebuilt antennae ( 41 channels of mostly junk but we get the major networks and PBS )
She said yes , I called them back and no deal to be had ( goodbye cable )
And now we have T-Fibre installed ( just got into our area ) and it's goodbye to Spectrum
Spectrum internet was $90 and T-fibre is $55 and they gave us a $ 200 debit card to boot

Cut the cable around 7 years ago,
bought one of these.
gets the 4 major networks + more , about 20 channels, it's enough for me.
I do miss the history channel though.
Always wanted to get another and put them back to back for 360° coverage
still works great.

I found that the old analog antenna works just fine for the digital signal.

We never got cable up here on the ridge and the last time our phone/internet service went out they informed us that they weren’t going to do any repairs but “you can get our 5G!”
Fortunately our rural electric cooperative ran internet fiber into the county and we subscribed.
I will miss the trouble calls chatting with a friendly Filipina, often hearing roosters crowing in the background on their end of the line.
I finally broke down and got a cheap CC flip phone, now to figure out how to block insurance sales texts…….
