Starter issue

Hi all
I'm new here so please be .
Anyway I know the issue with the starter gear No4 which I have replaced.
It will engage and start the bike but it's not engaging properly and is very noisy,sounds like gears not engaging sometimes .
I have fitted a new battery as old one was not pumping out enough amps.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Did you tension the drag clip? There's a certain drag resistance required between clip and gear that requires the clip to have it's tension increased. There's threads here about it.
