Nah. They could be contagious. You are not allowed to park next them?
I could park over there, but I choose to park closer to the building. Plus the spot I park in gets some shade in the afternoon, so the seat isn't searing hot at the end of the day.You are not allowed to park next them?
I just refuse to pay what people want for used harleys. $5k for a 20yr old sportster, $10k for a big twin, or sometimes you can find a deal for about half that for a bike that needs a rebuild.Booo.. us Sporty (I used to own one--and would buy another) guys love that Asian stuff.

I agree 100%...still looking for that '04-'08 >$2500 XL1200R. (that's not f'd up)$5k for a 20yr old sportster,
For the sun, I have one of those geza covers. Very compact and keeps dust and sun off the bikeI could park over there, but I choose to park closer to the building. Plus the spot I park in gets some shade in the afternoon, so the seat isn't searing hot at the end of the day.
I'm too lazy to deal with a cover. Plus that would just be one more thing to carry. For the sun, I have one of those geza covers. Very compact and keeps dust and sun off the bike
How long before you start putting the EFI back on?Well, ran into a problem. The right fork seal is leaking. The dust seal is definitely dry rotted, so I'm assuming the leaky seal isn't much better. It looks like I'll have to make a tool to disassemble the forks, I refuse to pay $80 for an aluminum 33mm hex key with a hole in it.
Good news is the oem seals and bushings from webike japan are $100 shipped, US parts suppliers it's $180+ shipping. So those are ordered. The big piston forks use 5wt oil so I'll get that from amazon.
Probably not until winter. I have to figure out a new fuel pump, decide if I want to keep the FPR in the tank, the right throttle body probably needs modification so that I have more than 1/4" between the TPS and exhaust. How long before you start putting the EFI back on?
The bike did well on the trip?Well I don't know if my bike placed or not. They were supposed to start announcing winners at 2:30, at 2:50 they were still asking for people's choice ballots. It was hot, I was tired and knew I had a 1hr ride to get home, so I left.
No issues, ran fine, biggest issue is I want to get a street helmet again. I've been using an ADV helmet for years and I'm tired of the visor catching wind. 65mph with a 15-20mph head wind wear out your neck. The bike did well on the trip?
do you think it is the guage or the sensor?Well had a header gasket blow out, the nuts got a little loose and the gasket failed. New gaskets, and since I had the pipes off I added a bung for a wideband. Unfortunately I think my innovate gauge is going bad. It'll read right, the read super lean if you hit a bump, then go back to reading right after another bump. Repeat until it throws a bad sensor code. I'll give it a try with the zeitronix next. down side is no gauge with that one, just a datalog to check after a ride.
Could be either, old sensor went bad on the DRZ, this was an amazon special. But the innovate mtx-l gauges are known for having issues. I've had it for years, and this was the third sensor, 1st started reading way off, 2nd just quit connecting, and this one lasted maybe 10min. I'm going to assume the gauge itself is having issues now, partly because so many others have similar issues. the zeitronix zt2 is pretty nice, if you hook it all up it'll datalog temp, wideband, rpm and throttle position. I'll just do wideband.do you think it is the guage or the sensor?
