One time I sat down beside a guy covered with tattoos. Trying to make conversation, I said I'd like to get a tattoo, but I don't know what to get a tattoo of. He said are you smarter than you were ten years ago? I pondered for some time and said yes. Then he said will you be smarter in ten years than you are now? I took it to mean he got his tattoos ten years ago...

I think the problem was you wanted a tattoo but didn’t have anything worth getting. That’s a you issue, not a tattoo issue. If the tattoo means something to you, the chance of you regretting it is almost non existent
