Texavina custom seat REVIEW

Nice write ups. Has anyone weighed these seats? I just weighed my '72 original (with hard foam) at 9 lbs.

The Texavina seat I got about 4 years ago for my '76 shows no wear. I put only about 1500 miles on it each year, that's because I keep 5 bikes on the road.

Measurements I just took:

Texavina: 0.50mm
Original '82 seat: 0.43mm
Original '83 seat: 0.44mm
Original '75 seat: 0.50mm

Also got a Texavina seat for my '74 RD350, but I sold that bike.

Would it be possible to see a full side and rear pic of this seat / bike.
Thank you

Thanks, what I find interesting is the rear looks more square than I would have figured.

Because of the stunning paint color and finish of this bike, I can't tell how the seat would look on a "stocker"....does anybody know of a stock 75 - 77 with a seat kike this?

Thanks again.

I am looking to preserve the stock look. So not low profile. Please share your thoughts after a longer ride.

Being low profile, my seat is pretty firm. I mostly just ride to work (15-20 minutes) and occasional back road blasts. I have a ride planned for this Saturday morning with a new group of riders that will probably be longer. I can follow up with a report afterwards.

Thanks. I have the same seat. Not the original a but a good reproduction from back in the day mikesXS. I am thinking firmer foam is what I need. At least from previous experience. My just send it to Sargent

I have a nice standard seat still available in the classifieds. Hit me up if interested. Foam is pretty soft.
