Very nice bike you should be proud. Great attention to detail ,4 years for a result like that is ok by me.
Whats the story with the kick start mechanism and no lever?
I decided to retain it their if needed, it now has a nice black cap over it. The electric start is very strong and handles the engine very well though.
 
Fork covers. I forgot who used to sell those.
I think these are the ones you are thinking of Marty. They are out of business now

Lowbrow Customs used to sell some too but are discontinued for some time now. I am not aware of any current manufacturers.
 
I think the front end is a very cleverly modified stocker, with sleeves up top to mimic the look of a newer upside- down fork. Very well done.
Wow, that is interesting. I see it now same lowers wheel and wheel space. I see comments now about fork covers. At first look that looks like a beefy wide hd front end. Cool shniz. Ya this should be a calendar contender.
