The Norda

So I ran into a problem, the stock exhaust stubs were very rusted into the stock pipes. My solution, new stubs made from 304 stainless. Here's the first one.

So one problem with frame swaps ends up being the exhaust. The #3 cylinder was pointing right at a frame rail. I had to take .35" off the length of the stub, and do some pie cuts to get the tube where I can install it. Now that that is figured out I can add the 90 to get things pointing the right way.

What're the ID's of the exhaust stubs and what's the ID of the collector exit?

I'm asking because I would think that the cross sectional areas of the 2 collector's inlets should be the same as the 1 outlet.

But I will digress that I've never taken any sort of fluid dynamics class or anything.

I've been working on a design for a 2-1 collector for the XS that uses (2) 1⅜ ID" inlets and a 2" ID outlet.

On this bike it's a 4-4 system so no crossovers or merges. It's 1 3/8 od at the head stepping up to 1.5" od after the first bend. It'll stay that size all the way to the mufflers.

When I had the 2-1 on my XS the headers were 1.5 od, stepped up to 1.625 od, merged into 2" to the muffler.
