long story short this is a 73 model with some 72 bits including the tank . i bought it to use as a workshop manual while i built ground up xs2. this rattles and smokes and uses more oil than a refinery but is still better to ride than my 87 softail harley. nobody wanted to buy it so the next best thing is chop it up.. join in for the ride. heres the list of changes . lengthen swing arm. lower the shocks .140 rear tyre on 16x 3.5 rim laced to my drum brake. harley front end 3 degree raked baring cups. 21inch front wheel laced to 650 drum brake. full engine rebuild 277 re phase .700cc pistons .head work . deep sump mod. piss the starter off and fabricate extra oil in its place which will drain back to sump via external braided line. oil filter modifications. no battery install.electronic ignition. very simple wiring .no blinkers. all work will be done by me i dont farm anything out. the paint work and graphics also by me hence the bikes name.. swing arm removal resulted in using angle grinder and cutting it out.. oxy and a nine pound hammer would not move the swing arm bolt. i had to settle for a later model swing arm yes there longer and fatter than the early model but will not fit a wide tire without modification. the early model will fit 150 tire with plenty of room to spare. i sold my xs2 .heres a pic of my harley i just finished building.

swing arm extension. best one to use is the early model better area to cut and rejoin will fit wider tire .you can strengthen it by running a plate either side full length along the bottom of the tube. i had to use later model it is heavier but a real bastard to lengthen you have to cut it right up near the axle plate mill out part of the axle plate to fit the extension in .the photos will spell it all out for you.
