This was part of my pointless "abomination" thread, but I thought others may want to have a look. It's hardtail because it was cheap and with the Trident frame £150. The engine leans back a little more than in the picture, at the front the older TX650 frame brackets are out of range but the swingarm pivot mount (when it was there!) is in perfect line although on a hardtail not so important. Trident head steady mount hits top breather but nothing that can't be sorted. As for a head steady, I'll work it out. Lower mounting bolt is Trident, I'm using the cut off lower rear mount from the xs650 frame that I cut up (bought by a mate to weld TC hardtail) This one is a 6" stretch BSC so just imagine how it'll carve the corners when doing the Ton😁

I put the above non running xs650/Trident bike together and received comments such as..
"where's the Harley engine gone?"
"the fronts in the garden and the arse is in the house" seems many people hate a stretch on anything but a Harley however I tried to get a Shovelhead motor in there and it's a no go 😁
So the last xs650 motor is going in this, a Dave Bird bolt on/welded up thingy that came via UK, California, then a barn in Michigan and then back home and is covered in a tonne of Bondo.
I'm finishing this first, then Bandit and followed by slingshot xs. This should take me to my deathbed whereupon younger people can ride them and end up on they're deathbed sooner than they expected...😉best wishes as always

I like it👌

My buddy has a pretty nice Triumph Trident. He loves it.

You may need to install an artificial oil leaker to give it some patina. That XS motor doesn’t let the oil out like the Brit bikes do.

Should point out, BSA c15 fuel tank, another Triumph 955i sprint front end 43mm forks and various modifications to stem and bottom race.

Thanks fella.
I'll have to take this frame back to metal and it'll loose 20lbs of body filler 😁
