Throttle stumble just after idle

So, that indicates a bad regulator/rectifier unit. You can do a plug-n-play from Mike's for XSCharge, perhaps a conversion from generic (I have not done, but a search may yield answer) or a MOSFET unit from Hugh's. I'd do the latter - opinion.

I'd also do the AC check before ordering, just in case there is an issue with the whole XS Charge.

Checked from yellow wire to yellow wire in every possible way, consistently 13.8 VAC

Alright guys. I want to thank everyone here for the help. Sure, the capacitor was the problem I was chasing it all along. But you guys helped me find out my plugs were bad, bike was out of time, carbs needed rejetting, timing chain needed adjusted and I needed a damn rectifier! Definitely couldn’t have don’t this without everyone’s help. So today I finally got to work on the XS after a week stint with covid 🫠 but new rectifier and gel 6.3 amp hour battery and the bike is happy as can be. 13.1 at idle and 14.6 at WOT. I’ll be posting a picture of the final product later today after the first real ride past my driveway 😎

Well folks, that’s all for now. It’s done till this winter and it’s going to make the old bike show I was aiming for that’s on the 9th! Again huge thanks guys. Everyone’s knowledge here has been invaluable and certainly helped me time and time again. Till next time guys!
