I have been a member for a number of years and keep seeing the same problems come , carbs and ignitions. Here is my answer.
vm34mm Mikiuni's I did put a set of 38's on my last bike but that's anouther story. And for ignition the Powerdynamo ignition. Easy install on custom builds. Takes a little time and thought to fit the parts on a stock bike like my old 73 but worth it. The actual timing the stator rotor is easy. find tdc and lock it down.
Buy from me, buy direct, buy from whom ever sells them just buy and put the bike on road and ride.

I was asked How long they were making them (powerdynamo) .Here is the reply.

Dear Gary,

We offered the first ignitions in 1999. Before that we had a spare parts business for eastern motorcycles (MZ, Jawa, CZ, Minsk etc) since 1990.
