Advice please on removing the tripmeter knob on my 1975 B model speedo.
Apologies if it’s been discussed previously but I couldn’t find a thread. Thanks.
The knob is held on by a teensie little screw that is often rusted and hard to remove, if that appears to be your case, apply penetrating oil and let it soak, apply it again and let it soak. Make sure you have a tiny Phillips head screwdriver that actually fits. Firm pressure and patience can usually get it out. The plastic knob pulls straight off, don’t try to unscrew it. The shaft that it slips over is shaped like a capital D, the inside of the knob is also shaped like that, it pulls straight off!
Hope this helps you.
