Are you planning to use Clip on`s or regular bars? Old School Speed sells a 35mm top clamp only, for both. Keep in mind your front end will sit about 1 1/2" lower if you use a flat upper clamp.
Yes, the tree should mount in your '75 frame with '77 or later 35mm forks. But along with the forks, you will also need the later disc and caliper. Your '75 caliper won't fit on the '77-on forks, the mounting hole spacing differs.
Running a drum front also I'm thinking my forks are 35mm. This was a tracker project I picked up. And the fork tubes have the fork cap nut that sticks up not the recessed allen type.
