Hi guys and gals,
I've picked up my father's XS 650 at the beginning of the year and started a quick tidy up of the bike as it has been repaired over the year with what was available 30 years ago in the middle of the French countryside without much money.

The main issue I had was about the front wheel, it was held together with the wrong spindle, wrong speedo cog and some shims here and there... then the hub seemed wrong as well, which I confirmed with some photos found here.
I since bought another second hand wheel for an XS 650 and it fixed almost all troubles, but I'm now stuck with a front wheel I have no idea from which bike it comes !

If anyone can identify it it would be helpful, below some photos and measurements :

The rim is a Takasago 1.85 x 19
The brake discs fitted on this wheel were the genuine yamaha xs 650, same bolt pattern.
Distance between the brake discs flanges : 85mm
Centre distance between the outside of each bearings : 92mm
Overall diameter of the hub : 148mm
The hub width is 55mm from the outside and 48mm on the inside of the perimeter spokes flanges.

Thanks

RD250/350 had chromed steel rims, so unless rim was changed, no. RD400's had cast aluminum wheels, so again, no.

Pre-1976-77 Kawasaki wheels had six bolt discs, but the look of the mounting face was a bit different (and were typically 40 spokes as well, and these look like 36)

Thanks for the answers guys !

The hub has 2 disc mounting flanges, you can see both sides on the photos.

It is a 36 spokes wheel indeed, I looked at many photos online but obviously can never be sure they are the right model, couldn't find anything matching so far.

I will have a look at the RD400 front wheel now !

I'll see what I can think of ... Definitely not RD400, as all had cast aluminum wheels as far as I know (years ago, I adapted RD400 wheels and rear disc brake to my '74 RD350).
In UK at least, you could get RD400 with spoke wheels, disc brake front and rear. Just like a TZ350. Guess what a pair would cost you today...

It could very well be a TX500 wheel indeed, my father could have swap the brake discs using the XS ones instead of the TX if the bolt pattern is the same.
Thanks everyone for the infos, much appreciated
