Upgrade ignition?

I set a couple of bikes up with these. Very simple to set up, programmable and reliable. I liked them so much I bought 5 for my own spare parts shelves and have installed in 2 of my bikes. Made by an XS specialist for his own bike they're not always available. He also makes good starter wheels that throw into the crank. The problem is that as a Euro sole trader production runs aren't that big, how reliable is future supply/support and post. But then, I'm not going to last another 100 years either and now is NOW.

Please tell more about the ignition it is listed not available there but perhaps comes some day

The magical words are

Its seems to be a programmable ignition with settings via Windows
hundreds of them road tested

Not that many programmable around. Not that I need one right now but maybe is something worth check out

Still on the fence. Did my research on installation procedures and they are both pretty cut and dry. The Tri-spark uses the advance rod while the BB systen supplies a piece of all thread. Santa will bring me whichever I choose as I talked to Ms Claus and got the OKI

I have a PAMCO currently but if it dies I will get hooked up with a Trispark.

I think the Boyers are good, but seem to be a little "finicky" based on a number of comments on this forum. I also think the Trispark may be a newer design, as BB has not changed much over recent years. And the TS design in some ways reminds me of the robustness of the Dyna products over the years (had a number of those). Admittedly, all just personal opinion.😜

At the end of the day, either choice will likely provide you with long, reliable service. All the best!

Earlier version. They have a good reputation in europe with over 300 sold over 10 years. I'm not personally aware of any problems.

FYI, with the help of @vexsed connected with Stephan Graf, the developer and manufacturer of the Innognition. He is building a new batch. To be ready in January. I am definitely ordering one. Any others are interested so that I can pass the word along to him? alternately, you can email him at

Last few times you synced the carbs, do you remember having to make a big adjustment on the linkage screw?
I put the carb stix on it and had one high, one low. After adjusting them to even, nothing was working properly. At least a full turn on the sync adjust screw.
I had a throttle shaft seal leak. FWIW

Dave when I synced the carbs there wasn’t much adjustment. I had replaced the shaft seals and when I did a leak check there was none. I have another set of carbs to try before moving forward, just waiting on a little warmer weather because it’s just a little too cold outside right now to worry about it.

Well, I received Innognition in the mail. Beautifully made! The control box is about the size of two match boxes. Hope to install it in the next couple of weeks! The import was a bit of a hassle. Got hit with 50% import duty as these are motorcycle parts….

tried a few curves. The resommendation from Smed Speed: more advance through the range by extend to 3500 rpm and even out at 36-38 degrees. Also tried to add more advance at where I have valve overlap when an exhaust wave is coming back. Overall the smed speed curve feld best. much more linear power than the pmaco/mechanical advance i used to have.

Ultimately I will book a dyno session to play with the advance. in the meantime, will strap the wide band sensor and see what AFR does at 2500 as move advance around in that region.
