Van Islander's June trip to Prince George, BC

Back again with some more pics - this time just a few from a recent trip up to the north end of Vancouver Island, which I did in early October. 1550 kms in 5 days, about 300 kms of that dirt logging roads. This first pic was taken just north of Port Alice overlooking one of the inlets of Quatsino Sound. Maybe my favourite motorcycle pic so far, outside of XS650 shots. The next one was on the road to Holberg. The last one was looking out at a marina at the village of Tahsis.
Just wanted to share these cool shots with you guys - thought it ok to tag them onto this other BC thread. Next time will feature the TX650A.

Wow! You have to live in one of the most beautiful, clean and unspoiled regions in North America! That’s some pretty rugged country you were riding through, how did your Tiger do for you? I had fun looking all that up on the map , that part of the island makes you work to get around, so many water inlets. Thanks for the photos, I never tire of seeing them.
Man I’d never make any progress riding up there, I’d be stopping every five minutes to take photos! 😁

Thanks Bob. I will happily post more pictures. I am fortunate to live here. I should post more photos of the landscape when it's pouring rain and foggy and you can't see more than 30 yards. Perhaps that would show some balance. We have our not so nice times for sure.
The roads are ok. Best part about riding vs driving in a car on a road with potholes is you can steer around them. The Tiger soaks up the unavoidable bumps and washboard with ease. It is a remarkable machine. 50 MPH standing on a 500 plus pound bike flying down a dirt road like no big deal. Crazy fun and addictive risk. I did have one close call with a deer which reminded me to slow down. I really like it and hopefully it remains faithful to me and gets me home every time. The technology is both amazing and scary. Two year unlimited warranty does little in the middle of nowhere, but I don't want to jinx myself or the bike. It's been great.
There are thousands of miles of logging roads on Vancouver Island. I do plan to explore some more next year.
