I am new to the XS 650 I picked up a 1972 XS2 recently. I am trying to figure out the vent system for the motor there are 2 vent fittings on the head I cant find any diagram as to the lines or what ever fits on the head. Is there a picture or part list somewhere?

When you get a chance post a pic of your bike as a picture is worth a thousand words.
The vents feed to the carb air filters on most stock setups......
Post a pic of your bike and welcome aboard!

I’ve got the carbs off of my XS2 right now so it’s easy for me to get a few clear photos. The vent hoses run back over the tops of the carburetors , tuck in behind the frame down tube, and vent out under the bike in front of the swingarm. They will drip a little oil on your floor from oil vapor and condensation, some guys like to catch that with pvc valves , catch cans , whatever. Me…..I slide a piece of newspaper under my bike after I pull into the garage and park the bike. After a few hours, remove the newspaper and throw it in the trash.
