Not sure who has had the most bankruptcies in their history, Norton or Aston Martin. I suspect the wooden spoon goes to Aston Martin. Just this week they had to issue more shares and borrow (another) £100 million (again). Only a matter of time before they go bump again. I think.
Norton bankrupted Triumph? Hmm, sure that the UJM (including the XS650) did not do it?
The entire british motor vehicle industry was rough. Triumph cars and bikes, austin healey, norton, BSA, MG etc. Towards the end half of them were selling badge engineered stuff. MG and triumph used the same drive trains. BSA and triumph were sharing a lot of bits. All of them suffered from lack of development and iffy quality. There's a reason pretty much none of them actually made it into the 80s.
