I received a cylinder from Gary today (that needs boring). I started calling motorcycle shops and found out that no shops around here do bore jobs. Does anyone know anyone that does bore jobs near Atlanta? The shops I worked at in the 70's always had a boring machine.

Ask the motorcycle shops where they get their cylinders done or look for automotive machine shops.
I get mine done at a automotive machine shop, have my head work done there also.

I really struggled to find a machine shop here in the Phoenix area also. They either worked on cars exclusively or if they did motorcycles , it was only Harleys. I even had one Harley shop hang up on me!

That’s too bad it’s gotten to where it’s hard to find someone for basic machine work. I’ve had good luck with smaller private shops.

You might try L.A, Sleeve. They will even do the work for you.

It is easy to replace the sleeves. I use my wife’s oven when she is out shopping. Haha
